Worried about life? Read this.

PEACE

As believers, Jesus is our peace. Together with the salvation package is peace; you cannot separate true peace from Jesus. This means that outside Christ is worry, anxiety, fear, doubt which is why Paul in Philippians 4:6 tells us to not worry about anything. Worry is not the nature of a man in Christ, it's a tool of the enemy to destabilize your life.

‭Philippians 4:6 NLT‬

[6] Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

It's no news however, that the devil will do anything to rob you of your peace. Life will happen to you. Difficult situations will come, confusion will set in, you'll be unsure of God's will for your life and questions will flood your heart. However, your response to life matters a great deal.

Will you let life steal your joy?

Will you let life rob you of the peace you can enjoy in God?

HOW THEN SHOULD YOU RESPOND TO LIFE?

Isaiah 26:3-4 AMPC

[3] You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.

[4] So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].

TRUST

Absolute trust and confidence in God is the key to responding to life challenges.

Peace is a function of trust in God. It means that come what may, you believe that God is able and faithful. You believe that God is good, therefore, His promises and will for your life will be done as He has promised in Jeremiah 29:11.

‭Jeremiah 29:11 NLT‬

[11] For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Easier said than done? True.

However, no one can trust God for you. You must build trust and confidence in God by dwelling in His Word. Philippians 4:6-8 should be your guide, only then would God's surpassing peace keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

[7] Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

[8] And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

So dear believer, next time the devil comes roaring like a lion, show him who the real LION is.

Next time worry comes, drive it out with absolute trust in God and live your life knowing that God has the best in mind for you.

Go in this thy peace!
