Why do bad things happen to good people? Is God partial? Read to find out...

 THE GOODNESS OF GOD

Job 34:10‭ MSG

"...It’s impossible for God to do anything evil; no way can the Mighty One do wrong."

Have you ever gone through a problem and you felt God was wicked?

If God really claims to love you, why didn't He avert that situation? Why did He let that bad thing happen to you – the one who calls on the Name of the Lord fervently?

I bet you feel you didn't deserve that problem. It wasn't your fault. You're not to be blamed.

Then whose fault is it? God's?

Certainly not!

I'm not writing this to start pinpointing whose fault it is, or who is to be blamed for your circumstances.

I am writing to tell you explicitly that GOD IS GOOD. It is not in His nature to do evil. He can't even conceive such a thing. God is Holy.

Why then did that bad situation happen to you?

My dear, I don't know exactly why it happened to you. What I do know however is that all things will work together for your good because you love God.

Romans 8:28 NIV

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Every detail of your life is being worked upon by God to produce goodness for you.

Maybe you were abused and you're asking, "why me?", "Why didn't God stop that from happening to me?"

It wasn't your fault. But let's quit the blame game. God certainly didn't want you to go through that.

The devil made that happen. And he did that because he saw that you're precious in God's eyes.

Remember, the devil ensured that Jesus died because he wanted to silence Jesus' destiny. What he wasn't privy to is that God had a plan that couldn't be truncated.

Yes, God will turn your life around. That abuse will become the message God will use to help others. Please, trust in God and hang on. If you need someone to talk to, please reach out to your pastors and leaders for help.

Or maybe yours' is a carry over. How can that be? You read, studied and even prayed. In fact, you were serving God faithfully and this happened.

My dear, the devil thought he had you when you had that carry over. What he didn't know is that God can turn your mess into a message. God can make that carry-over the testimony you will share about your academics.

What should you do then?

Trust God and hope in Him till the end. If you're becoming weak in faith, begin glorifying God and renewing your convictions like Abraham did.

Romans 4:20‭-‬21 NIV

"Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised."

It is not over until it is really over. God is interested in making your life a wonder to the world. Please, stay with God.

Shalom!
